A revitalized Medvedev won his initial trophy for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.

"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is particularly special," said ranked player Medvedev.

"This victory is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."

The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six title deciders, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.

The player's counter-punching strategy and recurring emotional displays on court had led commentators to wonder if his skill to perform at the elite level was concluded.

But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and compete assertively, backed up by an better service.

He fought back from a break down in the opening set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the final five points to take the lead.

Both players swapped service breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his initial ATP Tour victory, took control to create a third set.

He saved four early opportunities in a close third set before Medvedev broke to that score to secure the win.

Suitably, he earned the title with a shot at the net area, with his opponent failing to control a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
